Maarten Braspenning
SVP, Bioinformatics and Data Science
Maarten heads the bioinformatics unit at Excelra . He is a biotech entrepreneur with over 14 years of experience, having first founded NXT-Dx, a wet lab service provider, and later BISC Global, focused on bioinformatics, statistics, and machine learning consulting. BISC Global expanded to seven locations across Europe and the USA and was acquired by Excelra in 2023, creating an international bioinformatics powerhouse.
Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pedamallu
AVP, Bioinformatics and Data Science
Chandra leads Excelra’s science operations. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology and has worked at Sanofi, New England Biolabs, the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, and the Broad Institute. Chandra has contributed to over 80 publications in world-class journals and more than a dozen Cancer Genome Atlas projects. He ranks in the top 6% of scientists worldwide and the top 2% in citations (AD Scientific Index).
